Diplomats, driven by their Intuitive andĀ FeelingĀ traits, typically thrive by finding meaning and connecting with othersāskills that can help multipotentialites craft compelling narratives about their diverse experiences. This strategy allows them to position themselves as valuable ābridgesā between different departments or disciplines within an organization.
I⦠But⦠Hmā¦
WHO told them that!!!
And here I was thinking I was the only weird person on the planet to be overwhelmingly interested in so many fields.
Societal pressure:Ā Despite the value that is increasingly being placed on interdisciplinary skills, society still often expects individuals to have a clear, specialized career trajectory. Multipotentialites may face pressure from family, friends, or colleagues to āsettle downā into a more traditional, focused career path.
See thatās the problem!! Because:
Career indecision:Ā Multipotentialites may struggle to choose a single career path because of their multiple interests and abilities. The fear of missing out on other potential opportunities can lead to decision paralysis
or frequent job changes that might be perceived negatively by some employers.
And what hurts most about this āsituationshipā is:
Perceived lack of expertise:Ā In fields that prize deep, specialized knowledge, a multipotentialite might be seen as a ājack of all trades, master of none.ā This perception can sometimes lead to challenges in career advancement or in establishing credibility in certain professional circles.
I canāt believe this was said in simple and easy-to-understand words. Iām adding Multipotentialite to the list of titles to introduce myself as!
Agreed the human being has way too many desires, I have way too many things I aspire to do. I want to achieve so much, even while understanding thereās only so much I actually can do, but that causes a big discomfort in me, right now, since I canāt seem to fixate, to converge all these diverging paths, options, wants, aspirations, cravings, euphoria-inducing experiences (whatās another word for this?)
